About the person
Thomas Metzinger, born in 1958, teaches philosophy at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. He is considered one of the most distinguished philosophers of the mind and cognitive science. His popular science publications include “Der Ego-Tunnel. A new philosophy of the self” (2009), “Consciousness culture.
