VERINSELUNGEN – False Relationships and the Extended Endings
“Basler Öko-Tage 2023” is a series of five solo or duo concerts performed by nine members of the Basel-based ensemble False Relationships and the Extended Endings, and the visual installation “Verinselung” that embraces the concert space but interacts visually and acoustically with the music. The theme and goal of this collaboration are how far nature and para-nature elements appear in art and how they inspire the audience. For this, we have developed a concept of existing solo pieces relevant to the nature theme, and two commissioned compositions by Basel-based composers Anna Sowa and Charlotte Torres, which reflect the nature theme and add to the visual installation.
„Basler Öko-Tage 2023 – Verinselung“ ist eine Reihe von fünf Solo- und Duo-Konzerten, die von neun Mitgliedern des Basler Ensembles False Relationships and the Extended Endings aufgeführt werden.
Die für die Veranstaltung geschaffene visuelle Installation „Verinselung“ umspannt den Konzertraum und interagiert visuell und akustisch mit der Musik. Thema und Ziel dieser Zusammenarbeit ist es, herauszufinden, inwiefern natürliche und para-natürliche Elemente in der Kunst auftauchen und wie sie das Publikum inspirieren. Dazu entwickelten wir ein Konzept mit bestehenden Solostücken, die sich auf das Thema Natur beziehen, sowie zwei Auftragskompositionen der Basler Komponistinnen Anna Sowa und Charlotte Torres, die das Thema Natur widerspiegeln und die visuelle Installation vervollständigen.“
