The question of life and death is as old as humankind itself - and yet for each person the confrontation with it is always new. About the person

Wilhelm Schmid, born in 1953, lives as a freelance philosopher in Berlin. He studied philosophy and history in Berlin, Paris and Tübingen, taught at various universities and worked for many years as a “philosophical counselor” at Affoltern am Albis Hospital. He has published numerous bestsellers, including most recently “Surviving death. On dealing with the incomprehensible” (2024).
