Arming pacifism

Pacifism refers to a basic attitude that rejects any use of violence and stands up for peace with all its might. A pacifist fundamentally rejects any form of war. Even if a state is attacked, it should not use military means to defend itself.

With the war in Ukraine, a pacifist stance is under pressure to justify itself. What does pacifism mean today? How can we promote peace when there is war?
